Earth Day has now reached its 50th year, and according to the Earth Day Network and over one billion people in 192 countries are thought to have taken part in last year’s event. Just seeing the social media focus shows how important and how much we are becoming far more environmentally conscious than ever - great!
Earth Day on 22nd April could not come at a better time. The theme this year is climate action and clearly many of us are contemplating the implications of our choices. At The Liberty Showroom we want to appreciate nature's beauty by watching the world. We love the sunrise, the sunset, the moving of the trees, the list goes on and on. We do not claim to live perfectly ourselves but we do our best to live greener. Little by little, a little becomes a lot.
Let's talk ethical fashion. To The Liberty Showroom, we see this as a term to describe ethical fashion design, production, retail, and purchasing. It encompasses everything from issues such as working conditions, exploitation, fair trade, sustainable production, the environment, and animal welfare.
We have been learning lots about ecotravel and thought we would share this link from WWF: https://wwf.panda.org/get_involved/live_green/travel/on_vacation/
We are all learning and we all have the same aim - "little by little a little becomes a lot".
