Ethical fashion is the recognition that there are human beings behind the clothes that we wear
Let’s talk ethical... ethical fashion is an overarching term to describe design, production, retail, and purchasing. It covers a range of issues such as working conditions, exploitation, fair trade, sustainable production, the environment, and animal welfare.
Cofur Denmark live and breathe ethical fashion. They are convinced that optimal living - and working conditions belong not only to people working in Europe but likewise their loyal suppliers in India. That is why they mainly use GOTS-certified manufacturers to secure fair wages and safe working conditions, where discrimination and child-labor are banned. It can be strenuous for Indian women to get a job, especially for women with physical disabilities. That is why, in collaboration with their suppliers, they have created countless jobs for women with a background as seamstresses who would have difficulties finding a job, because of their living situation.
We just love!
